Try a publications class

Taking a journalism class all four years of high school was one of the best decisions I made in high school. It is a different experience than any other high school class.

In journalism you learn a different type of teamwork than you do in sports. Newspapers and yearbooks both show how important teaching an individual is to a successful project. Every story writer and editor is equally important to putting out a good paper. It takes lots of communication, and as Mrs. Ford knows, the occasional argument, to get everybody on the same page.

Journalism teaches you to be flexible and think outside the box at times. The class has been a great learning experience. It can help underclassmen meet older students who can help guide their high school experience.  I highly recommend any incoming freshmen or even sophomores to enroll in journalism.
