Paper snowballs is an icebreaker activity students in Haussler’s class played at the start of the school year. The activity was designed for students to get to know their classmates. Everyone started off with a blank sheet of paper and wrote four things about themselves on it. The paper was then crumpled up into a ball and students were arranged into two groups. There was a snowball fight. When the teacher told the students to stop, everyone went and picked up one of the crumpled papers. They then read the paper and tried to guess whose it was.

“I think that every teacher needs to do something like this at the beginning of the year as a way to introduce the students,” sophomore Bobbi Horr said. “The game helped us get to know each other a little better.”
