Public Display of Affection, which seems to be popular in Holton High School. Kisses in the hall, the occasional grope up the stairs… so not cool! Keep that stuff in cars and behind close doors. Some teachers give warnings while others take pictures cough Mrs. Eubanks. But as it is in the handbook and against school policy there are consequences for these actions. Most times you’ll just get a warning and if you are a repeat offender you will get a more serious warning and even possibly detention. Its tacky and others don’t want to see your lovely affection. But in another sense maybe some couples feel it’s a way they can feel more confident in their relationship. Holding hands, hugging and blowing a kiss are school appropriate. While kissing (French kissing), hands in the back pocket, groping and even fondling are NOT school appropriate. It’s cool to be in a relationship during high school many people are. Nothing against those who are but, be sure to remain tasteful. Because there are friends, family, and teachers in this school who are not in your relationship and don’t want to be your audience.
