DeLay of Game

Along with the madness of the NCAA Tournament, there are also some athletes making headlines. Ben Roethlisberger has been accused of assaulting a 20-year-old Georgia student. His teammate also had an incident with a lady in a night club. It is funny how fans seem to forgive players who bring championships. If the Steelers make it to the playoffs, everything will be fine again and the city will have his back. It may not be right, but that is how it works.
Another interesting event will be taking place this week as Tiger Woods plans to play golf again for the first time since his “incident” with his wife. Woods had been a national icon and one of the top athletes in the world. For me, I had always respected this guy and he was up on a pedestal to me as a top athlete and person. The hugs with his dad after winning, playing on one leg after injuring his knee, and the story of his dad working with him when he was young all captured the attention of America and me. I guess we will see if he is truly sorry and going to change his ways. If fans decide to forgive Woods hopefully it will be because he is remorseful and has changed his ways, not because he won the Masters.
Here is Haley’s Comet’s positive take on the outlook of KC’s sports teams.
Look at the Chiefs this year being aggressive. Not only have we returned two proven Pro-Bowl offensive linemen, we have also added 2008-2009 fantasy wonder Thomas Jones. The Chiefs are already five weeks ahead of where they were last year. If the Chiefs can have a good draft to go along with their free agent pickups, then they might have a shot this year.
The Royal’s are 13-11-3 in spring training play. They are sitting in the middle of the pack, ranked 6 out of 15 teams. With 182 runs scored, most in the Cactus league, the Royal’s offense might be turning around this year. Danny Duffy, one of Kansas City’s top pitching prospects pulled a Zach Greinke. In late spring training he took a leave of absence. If he turns out like Greinke I’m all for it!
This month is Car Care Month.
