The wrestling regional tournament is about to begin. The Holton boys took 2nd at league, without having two weight classes. Which is about the equivalent of playing basketball four on five or playing football while missing four players. The team has done very well this season, placing in many tournaments and winning almost all of their meets.
The wrestling team has many bright spots. Including the Dynamic Lovvorn Duo (Drake and Kane Lovvorn), who have a combined record of 60-4. Adam Luthi also has a good record this year, with a 22-5 record. Other outstanding performers include Micah Harmon, Richard Iverson, Justin Briner, and Logan Mosier.
The senior class has done a good job leading the mat-cats to what is arguably their best season in some years. The wildcats have a very good chance to send multiple people to state.
“I think our team is doing a good job in practice, and I think if we keep working hard we have a good chance of taking a few people to state.” said Drake Lovvorn, junior.
