On November 4, 2009, Dan Cataldi, Andy Phelan, and Joe Pinsky, three Chiefs fans, decided to state their opinion and create a petition to stop Larry Johnson from becoming the all-time rushing leader. Larry Johnson needs 74 yards to surpass the current rushing leader Priest Holmes. Currently there are 32,511 signatures on this petition, which chief’s fans hope will change Scott Pioli’s (Chiefs GM) opinion about letting Johnson play.
Larry Johnson is a disgrace to this team. He has multiple incidents with the law, and he causes problems throughout the locker room. If Larry doesn’t feel like he’s doing well, he looks for ways to blame other people. Priest Holmes worked hard for that accomplishment. It would be a huge upset to let someone like Larry Johnson take over the record from a person like Priest Holmes, who had to retire early based on an injury to the head in the late 2008 season.
Fans should get online and sign the petition to stop LJ. As many signatures as we can put on there, the bigger chance of Larry being deported to another team. Let the legend of Priest Holmes stand!
