Cats claw their way to the top

Volleyball around the area is starting to finish up the JV volleyball team has an overall record of 25-7. Their losses over the season were to Royal Valley, Rossville, Silver Lake, Jeff West, Nemaha, and Sabetha two times.

“Our team works really hard together, and I think that this year has been successful year! Most of us have played together since 7th grade which helps, but we have had to do a lot of adjusting and I think that it has all paid off to make the season great,” Christa Hill, sophomore said.

On Tuesday October 6th, the JV team played Jeff West and Royal Valley at home. They went on to win against Jeff West, and lost in three to Royal Valley. That same week they played a quad at Rossville against Rossville, Silver Lake and Wamego. They won against Rossville and Wamego, but lost to Silver Lake in three.

Last Tuesday the 13th, the JV team played a triangular at Nemaha Valley. They won to Nemaha Valley and Effingham. On Saturday they played in a tournament against Burlington, Perry Lecompton, Sabetha and Santa Fe Trail at Santa Fe Trail. They beat everyone in the tournament and got 1st place by doing so.
