Time between Classes

Right now at Holton High students get three minutes between classes to get where they need to be. Every day except for Thursday between first and second block they get a ten-minute break. Every day students are rushing to get in class.

Just about every student in our school would agree with me that we deserve more time between classes. Let’s say a student has a class in Mr. Jackson’s room and the next class is in Mr. Lang’s, it’s about impossible to get there in three minutes. This school is very large and it can take awhile to get from class to class.

Three minutes does not allow you enough time to get from one class to the other and then use the restroom. There are some teachers who don’t let us use the restroom either, so it would be nice to have more time so we can take care of ourselves.

Students don’t want more time just to socialize. We just don’t want to get tardies and be able to get a drink or use the restroom without worrying how much trouble we’ll get in. Our school is large and spaced out, so I think the administration should seriously consider giving students more time to get to class.
